Once an historic rooming house in the 1880’s, our recently renovated building is a unique and welcoming place to land after a day of play and adventure.
Our town is situated in the heart of Colorado’s breathtaking high country, known for it’s natural beauty, rich history, and outdoor activities.
The town of Alma is a walkable and welcoming town with several local proprietors like Al-Mart, North America’s highest general store, as well The South Park Saloon, the Bristlecone Bakery, the Black Kettle Coffee Shop, Otto’s Food Cart, Hoosier Daddy Liquors, High Country Healing dispensary, and more.
Looking for adventures? There are plenty around the high country with the DECALIBRON fourteeners and the Kite Lake Trailhead nearby, local fishing on the Middle Fork of the South Platte River, Historic South Park City, or take a trip into the resort town of Breckenridge, just 15 miles down Highway 9. Drive over the scenic Hoosier Pass or take the free bus that runs several times daily from Alma to Breck and points beyond, with the bus stop only steps from the front door of Alma House.

Alma House has well appointed rooms as well as plenty of space to gather. Enjoy some quiet space with a book in the upper lounge, gather in the main hall and kitchen with friends, or head out to one of the eateries in town. Alma House is a comfortable place to land after a hard day at play.
Groups large and small or just 1 or 2
Family reunions, friends weekends, work retreats, or bachelor/bachelorette parties. Alma House is the perfect place for group gatherings.
Just you or a friend or two? Book one of our private rooms and share the rest of the house with fellow travelers. It’s a huge place with plenty of space, whether you want to meet new friends or enjoy some time to yourself.

Our updated kitchen has everything you need whether you are preparing a meal for yourself or the group or just a heat-up grab-and-go for the road. We are well equipped for whatever your cooking needs may be.

Each of our well appointed rooms boasts comfy beds, charming bedding, plush linens, and all the necessities for a good night’s sleep.
We have a sleeping arrangement for every need, whether your traveling solo, with a friend or two, or hanging with the family.
